When choosing to buy a quality tested engine from Jollys, you can be confident it will provide trouble free service as
all our engines are thoroughly tested prior to sale. All our engines are sold with warranty. Our warranty only covers
the block and heads of the engine (all other parts sold with engine are not). If a warranty claim is accepted, we then
firstly - (1) offer a same model replacement engine, (2) or if a same model replacement engine is unavailable in
stock, then a monetary refund of the ‘original cost’ of the engine will be extended.
Jollys warranties do not cover
and do not provide refunds on transport or labour cost in any such case. All warranties begin from the date of
purchase, not from the date of fitting or installation.
The following precautions MUST be taken when installing a Jollys engine -
- Replace engine oil and filter.
- If an oil cooler is fitted, if must be flushed clean (or) replaced.
- Pay special attention to the cooling system.
- Check all hoses and replace them if they are old or faulty.

Check the condition of the cooling system, inside and out. If it is not in perfect condition, have it serviced by
a qualified radiator repair technician.

Check the fan belt, timing belt, radiator cap, water pump and the thermostat. Replace any of these if the
condition is less than perfect (This will save you from incurring greater expense later).
- Fit a clean air filter. Ensure all air cleaner connections are sealed and air/fuel mixture is correct.

Ensure that a water temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge (or warning lights), are fitted and functioning
correctly.
All engines are sold on a ‘changeover’ basis. A ‘changeover’ core deposit is to be paid at the time of purchase. The
deposit will be refunded in full when the ‘changeover core’ is returned to Jollys.
Often engines are supplied with ‘some’ accessories; this is done for convenience. These accessories are not covered
under the warranty as they are supplied at no extra charge. You are charged for the block and head assemblies only.
The engine is fitted with an overheating detection device. This ‘Heat Tab’ is used by the auto recycling industry
worldwide to detect whether the operator has continued to use the engine without adequate cooling. Regardless of
the reason for the cooling system failure, the Jollys warranty does not cover any engine that has been destroyed due
to it having been exposed to prolonged use after coolant loss. If this devise is removed or tampered with in any way,
the warranty will not apply.
For any warranty claim against a faulty engine, Jollys requires –
*The vehicle (with said engine) is to be returned to the place of purchase where our qualified mechanics will
assess the claim and diagnose the issue stated by the customer.
Transmissions, Gearboxes and Differentials use this same Warranty. Please ensure when installing differentials,
gearboxes and transmissions, that specified manufactures oil is used and all seals are checked and replaced if
needed. Please Note: All Torque Converters have been drained of oil for environmental purposes.
Although Jollys offers warranties or exchange options on all the parts you buy, Jollys will not be held responsible
for any consequential damage, dismantling of parts in any way, unauthorized repairs, labour cost, cost of
transportation, or any other loss or injury that may arise from the use of any parts sold.
Failure to comply with
any of the stated above requirements and information will deem any warranty claim null and void.
These conditions relate only to the items on this invoice.
All goods remain the property of Jollys Auto Parts until paid in full
All your purchases from Jollys Auto Parts are warranted for a minimum of 90 days, with the following conditions and exceptions:
- Engine and transmissions are sold with separate warranty details supplied with your purchase.
- All parts, which can be tested, are tested prior to sale. A part that is unable to be tested and is proven to have been faulty at the time of sale or within 90 days from the date of sale, will be repaired or exchanged for another in good condition.
- If Jollys Auto Parts mistakenly supplies the wrong part, Jollys Auto Parts will exchange it for the correct part. You will be given a full cash refund if Jollys Auto Parts is unable to exchange the part.
- If for some other reason you decide to return your part, Jollys Auto Parts will be happy to give you a credit voucher to the full value of your purchase. The voucher can be redeemed any time you need to buy parts from Jollys Auto Parts.
- Goods returned must be returned in the same condition as they were when sold and returned with your receipt as proof of purchase.
- Jollys Auto Parts can not be expected to give a refund, exchange, or credit for parts specially ordered in, made up, or for any section cut to order. Please ensure what you order is what you want.
- Although Jollys Auto Parts warranties all the parts it sells, it will not be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage, unauthorised repairs, labour cost, or any other loss or injury that may arise from the use of any parts sold.
- Please be aware that any We Pull service items, the labour charges are not refundable.
